Ms. Blackburn oversees the operation of Monticello Asset Management, Inc., and also serves as the company's Chief Financial Officer. In this dual capacity, she is responsible for client/investor relations, strategic planning, as well as partnership finance and accounting.
Ms. Blackburn, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), joined the company in 2000 and has over twenty years of experience. Prior to joining the Monticello Asset Management, Inc., she held positions with the Trammell Crow Company, Crescent Real Estate Equities, and the Tipton Asset Group.
Ms. Blackburn graduated from Amber University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Cantrell serves as the chairman of Monticello Asset Management, Inc., as well as being active in investments in real estate and in several related real estate companies.
He is a founder of The Cantrell Company, a company specializing in apartment brokerage; CMI, a property tax consultant firm; and Fidelity Building & Construction, which provides apartment renovation services.
Mr. Cantrell's real estate career began with sixteen years at Marcus & Millichap, the fourth largest real estate brokerage company in the nation where he earned numerous awards and designations with the highest recognition received in 1991 as the number one earner in the nation. Prior to his real estate career, Mr. Cantrell was a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) employed by KPMG, one of the nation's largest accounting and consulting firms.
Mr. Cantrell graduated magna cum laude from Baylor University.
As Chief Operating Officer, Sue Rich oversees all aspects of the daily operations of Monticello's entire portfolio. She is also closely involved with client/investor relations and strategic planning.
Sue Rich has extensive experience in the multi-family industry. She started in 1980 as a property manager and quickly grew her portfolio and expertise to include all facets of the industry. She has overseen all types of multi-family assets, along with shopping centers and commercial properties.
Sue has previously worked for Gerber & Firestone, Price Realty and Asset Plus. She is a Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) and is member of the Dallas, Tarrant and Texas Apartment Associations.
Sue served as President of the Heart of Texas Apartment Association and has held board positions on both the Texas Apartment Association and the Heart of Texas Apartment Association.
